Birthdays, Ice Staking and Westfield...

Who doesn't love Birthdays? They're great, except the fact your getting older, that's not great. But that beside the point! Last week it was my Friends Birthday, on the 5th of November, Bonfire Night! That day we were at school, so we brought in a cake to celebrate! So that night we went Ice-Skating to celebrate the achievement of being 15 and still alive ;).

Ice-skating was very successful  even if I did fall over... standing still... practising my pirouette's...!! But we were the only ones there... so it was a bit strange at first and all eyes were on us... but it was great having all the space to ourselves! 

For her birthday we went to.... WESTFIELD! (not the Stratford one). My friends parents took us up by car as they don't trust us with trains...but that's another story, maybe I'll do a blog post on it? 

Anyway, off to Westfield we went! We left at 10am and got their at about 11am, then stayed until 5pm! So lots of shopping was done! We also went with our other friend! I brought my self lots of clothes...oppies!! I also brought my sister a Lush Farther Christmas for Christmas! It's smells scrumptious!

School life Struggles?

School... that dreaded thing that starts on Monday morning ruining all your weekend excitement... making you in a permanent bad mood all the way until Friday, until 3:20 when I'm finally freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

As you can guess school isn't a great love of mine. I have often struggled with it, not academically... the social side of it. Of course I love going in to see my friends but lets say I'm not particularly fond of my peers, some of them of course are alright... I'll only go as far as alright because I can't say I like many of them...oops. 

Throughout school I've had my fair share of girls. Girls, the evil, horrible, vile thingy-ma-bob-ees. If your a girl, I think you will most definitely understand what I'm going on about here, yes?! 


As I made the big move from primary to secondary school I struggled in the friend finding business. I was put in a form with one boy from my primary school that I didn't really talk to. All of my side of the year was boys from my primary and to girls who I didn't really talk to, and one of the who disliked me, and still does. My bestest friend ever was on the other side of the year and I didn't have anyone to talk to in lessons, or on the way to lessons. I found it really really tough. After about a month I started to make friends throughout the form. The two who I was closest with, unfortunately, didn't get along with each other. I had problems with a girl and her group, who took a disliking to me and my friends. They were often nasty to us, and it upset me to see how people could be. 
At my school we have a place called the student support which is a mini building where you can go if your finding things tough. I went there one lesson every week and spoke to someone about school and my problems, it was the biggest help ever. It was great that I could go to someone and she would help and advise me through everything. 

Then 2 years after many arguments with the groups in my form and trouble with people in the form I finally moved sides of the year to be with my true friends. This was the best thing I could have done, a fresh start, new people and my friends... I've never felt so happy at school, ever!

Of course there's not ever going to be a time where someone makes a comment on your hair... your coat... your personality... but honestly if you can't cope with that then, you will struggle because your never ever going to be liked by everyone. 





So here are my tips for surviving school life: 

• If you feel down, worried or anything... speak out about it! Speak to a teacher you trust!
• Don't let the bad'ens get you down!!! Honestly... don't let anyone get you down.
• Don't care what people think. YOU are YOU and because they don't like that who cares? 
• Don't change for people! 
• Try and enjoy school as much as you can because after all, you don't have much choice about going!

I really hope that you don't have to deal with this sort of thing too often!! Try and use some of my tips and advice, and hopefully (fingers crossed) YOU can survive school!
